Volunteer

At Ladies of Charity in Knoxville we operate mostly with volunteers and are always in need of more.  There are a wide variety of volunteer opportunities at Ladies of Charity:

  • Sort, bag and stock food

  • Thrift Shop cashier

  • Sort, price and display housewares

  • Prepare and send greeting cards

  • Work on fundraisers

  • Help with thrift store pricing

  • Emergency assistance receptionist

  • Emergency assistance interviewer

Upcycle your donations

Bring your donations to our Warehouse donations door (Ring Doorbell) anytime Monday – Saturday 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.  If you need help with large donations (or large quantities of smaller donations), please contact us.

For the Thrift Shop & Warehouse Store we are always in need of furniture, housewares (even pots and pans),  home decor, small appliances, toddler children’s clothing and shoes, men’s clothing and shoes, new underwear (men, women and children’s) and low cut socks.  We are also always in need of linens, towels and blankets.

​

For the pantry we can always use size #5 diapers, baby wipes, peanut butter, tuna, small cans of applesauce or fruit, as well as toilet paper, shampoo and bar soap.

Kroger Community Rewards Program

You can earn money for Ladies of Charity Knoxville every time you use your Kroger Plus card on groceries or gas! There is absolutely no cost to you other than what you’re already spending, and it has no effect on your Kroger Plus discounts or fuel points.

Just go to krogercommunityrewards.com, sign up for a free Kroger account if you don’t already have one, enroll in the Community Rewards program, search for “Ladies of Charity Knoxville,” and click on our name to confirm.

To enroll by phone, call 1-800-576-4377 and select option 4. When prompted for non-profit organization number (NPO), enter 76951.

Membership

To register, please take the time to fill out the information below.

Join as a Member

Annual membership is $30. Members receive a quarterly email newsletter, annual retreat and access to the annual assembly for National Ladies of Charity. 

​

Our membership follows the spiritual guidance of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Louise de Marillac, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton to serve the poor and marginalized.

​

Submit the adjacent form and dues in person at Ladies of Charity on Baxter Avenue.
